Energised High Voltage Insulator Maintenance (Substation Insulator Washing)

This course provides the knowledge and skills to wash insulators supporting live high voltage conductors in substations. It includes the type of plant, equipment and tools for washing, the preparation for washing, such as water and insulator testing and the maintenance of equipment and tools used for washing. 

The techniques and procedures for effective substation insulator washing are also included.

It also includes the relevant OHS/WHS requirements, applicable codes of practices and industry guidelines for washing substation insulators supporting live high voltage conductors.
